I have been a customer of Pittsburg Marine for 8 Years. I purchased a R91 from them in 2001. I have become good friends with the whole Pittsburg family. They are a real class act when it comes to a business with the customer in mind. They have a very knowledgeable service crew that can repair any problems that may arise. I have owned both the Ranger and Stratos with no problems from either. I'm a tournament fisherman and have really used my boats in some rough conditions which shows how dependable they are. They try to help the tournament fisherman as well as the weekend angler with a fishing seminar/ school in the winter month's. Hi friends. I would like to take just a few minutes to tell you about my experience with the guys at Pittsburg Marine. It began a few years ago when I purchased my first Ranger Boat. It was a used 519 that Jimmy had taken in on a trade. I got a good deal on the boat and came back to pick it up that evening after they had shined it up for me. We hooked it up and was ready to leave when my buddy noticed that one of the tail lights was out. Not a big deal I said. we'll get it fixed later, it's after closing time. Robby had waited on me to pick it up, and was no doubt tired after a long day. To my surprise, he insisted that I let him fix it then. By now it's dark and raining. But Robby didn't mind, he said he wanted me to be satisfied when I left there. I was. A lot of time has passed since that evening, and I have had time to figure out why he was so willing to do whatever he could to make me a satisfied customer. It's in his blood. It started with Jimmy and David's dad James. His character is evident in every employee at Pittsburg Marine. Character is what you are when no one is looking, and it is evident to me that these guys are genuine. They believe in Faith, Family and Friends. They realize that without the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, all the success in the world is going to be of no lasting value. My Ranger. I have bought two Rangers from Jimmy and David Oliver at Pittsburg Marine. I have been a boat owner all of my adult life. My dad also was a boat owner. We have owned several different name brand boats over the last fifty years. My goal was to own a Ranger. I thought that if I could buy a Ranger then I would have arrived as far as boat superiority goes. I was right. In 2003 I test-drove a 520-program boat at Lake Cumberland and I was “hooked”. I bought that red and white 520 from Jimmy and I had a red Ford Expedition to match the boat. I was looking good. In 2005 a Z21 caught my eye at Pittsburg Marine and I traded for it. It was also red and white/black. I don’t catch a lot of fish but man; I get a lot of compliments on how good my boat and customized Chevrolet Pick-up truck look when I go fishing. The service department at Pittsburg Marine was one reason that I bought my first Ranger and it was certainly the main reason I bought my second Ranger. Tiny and Robbie do an excellent job in getting their customers back on the water when service is needed. That means a lot to me. I live closer to another Ranger dealer and the purchase price probably would not have been that much different but the honesty and service that I have received from these guys keeps me coming back. I have recommended Pittsburg Marine to several bass club members that I am affiliated with and some have also purchased Ranger boats from Pittsburg. Hello my name is Doug Gregory and I am a retired Police Officer with the London Police Department. In 2006 I bought a Z21 Comanche from Pittsburg Marine, since I have owned this boat I can tell you the few times that I have had it in the Maintenance Department there I have been treated GREAT. The Oliver's and their Staff are friendly and professional. Just to give you an example: I had a tournament on July 4th of this year and I had an aerator go out on my boat, I called Jimmy and told him about my problem, he was at home mowing his yard, and he came from his house and got me an aerator so I would be able to fish this tournament. Anyone that has any doubt that the Oliver’s don’t take their customers seriously should reconsider. You defiantly believe in service after the sale. The couple of minor issues I have had were handled in a timely manner. Your service department always answers any of my questions, whether by phone or in person, in a professional manner. If the answer requires research, I always get an answer in a timely manner. Jimmy and David, Just thought I would let you know that Luke Devere and myself broke in our new Z520 this weekend by winning the USA Bassin Regional on Rough River. I told Luke it had to be the new boat smell that those fish liked because they definitely just weren't biting for anybody else and it was the first time I had ever been there before and Luke's 2nd time, ha ha. We had the only limit of 98 boats that weighed 11.61 and 2nd place was 8.88lbs. Everything on the boat performs flawlessly and its the best boat anybody could ever own. So thanks again for selling us a fish catching machine, hopefully there will be many more tourneys like this to come and we'll look great fishing in them. Thanks again, Brandon Moberly

 

I have owned a bass boat for the past 27 years. The last 9 years have been as a customer of Pittsburg Marine. Back in 2001 my wife and me drove 3 hours to meet Jimmy and David Oliver and to buy a new 520 powered by Mercury 225. In my home town I live 15 minutes from another Ranger dealer, but when I talked to Jimmy about price over the phone he was honest and more reasonable than my home town folks. The whole Oliver family and the employees are in my opinion the best folks to deal with. I would not buy a new boat anywhere else. In May 2010 I traded in my old 520 for a new Z520 powered by Evinrude 250 HO. What a boat! I can't believe how well it fishes. It really is helping me to catch more bass and that is a fact. They treated me right on every aspect of the deal. Honesty, integrity, and Christian character shine through out their dealership. I am proud to call them friend.
